Allison Brooks Janney (born April 14, 1970) is an American actor. Her performance both on stage and in the screen have won her many accolades, including her Academy Award for Best Actress, The British Academy Film Award for Best Film as well as the Golden Globe Award for Outstanding Film, seven Primetime Emmy Awards for Primetime Emmy Awards for Primetime Emmy Awards for Primetime Emmy Awards for Primetime Emmy Awards for Primetime Emmy Awards as well as nominations for Tony Awards. Allison Janney is a well-known actress who spent over twenty years working in regional theater. Her fame was forged by her role playing White House press secretary C.J. Gregg in the wildly popular and highly acclaimed drama on television The West Wing (NBC 1999-2006). Allison Janney was always a late bloomer. She got her Ohio driving license one year later, at 17 years old. The first time she met a man was until after she started university. When she began auditioning at 23, she did not make an appearance in a movie until the mid-30s. Faris initially stated that she was planning to end the show Mom so that she could tackle new tasks. Today, however, she gives more insight into what led her back from acting. Janney has worn a hairpiece in her series since the beginning. Producers didn't have to worry. "I'm telling you guys, I've been wearing a hairdo since season one but nobody was aware of it," she said to Fallon, adding, So everyone on the planet knows the wig today. Janney will keep the wig for a souvenir. In the early seasons of this series, the actress earned up to $125,000 each episode. Faris was believed to have made $200,000 for every episode in season three and four.
